We are a full Service Company. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On staff are licensed electricians who install, maintain and repair all brands of generators. We have a fleet of 7 trucks always on the road to manage our job orders.

Our shop is fully stocked with all equipment and parts needed for any application.

When you call EPS, you will always speak to a live person. After business hours,
an answering service directs your call to a technician on call. Usually within hours a trained generator expert is at your door to solve any problems.

Maintenance and Testing

· Yearly maintenance contracts are available.

· Two to Four visits per year to maintain and test your generator are standard.

· All fluids and replaceable parts are checked and replaced as necessary.

· EPS will load test your generator when needed.

· Constant monitoring of Elliot Micro Power System is available via PC With Monthly Reports Available.

Here is an example of our Preventative Maintenance Agreement.


One Preventative Maintenance Service Per Year Per Unit/s  During Normal Business Hours

Consisting of the following:

  1. Replace engine lubricating oil and remove used oil from premises.
  2. Replace oil, fuel and coolant filters, add corrosion inhibitor as needed.
  3. Replace lube oil in hydraulic governors (where applicable).
  4. Natural Gas/LPG fueled engines-check all spark plugs, ignition condenser, cap, rotor, wires and points. Clean and adjust when necessary.
  5. Check engine oil and coolant for proper levels and condition.
  6. Check air filter and crankcase breathers.
  7. Check and adjust belts as required.
  8. Check  genset  and  transfer  switch  for  loose,  bare,  broken  wiring  or connections.
  9. Check governor operation, stability, linkage and oil.
  10. Check fuel tanks, pumps and lines for leaks or damage.
  11. Check  engine,  heaters,  radiator,  hoses  and  heat  exchanger  (where applicable) for coolant leaks and condition.
  12. Check inlet screen if water is supplied from other than radiator.
  13. Check condition of batteries, electrolyte level and charging rate.
  14. Start and run engine, check temperatures and pressures. 15.Test engine safety shutdown systems.
  15. Test transfer switch I exerciser clock operation and time delays, where applicable.
  16. Check unit for proper frequency/speed, voltage and amperage. 18.Submit a report to owner, and advise of any further work required.

Note: This does not include belt and hose changes.

 

Three Annual Inspections Per Year Per unit/s During Normal Business Hours

Consisting of the following:

Note:      Our site inspections are just that.  Any additional labor and/or fluids and/or parts needed, will be billed as an extra.


Additional Information:

  1. Proposal consists of three site visits and one maintenance visit.
  2. Guaranteed 24/7 emergency services with 2-hour response time when required.
  3. Any other service calls, other than the preventive maintenance service above, will be billed as time and materials needed.
  4. Electrical Power Systems Incorporated and its parent company Academy Electrical Contractors Incorporated have been providing generator sales, services and rentals for over 31 years.

  6. This proposal only includes what is specifically  listed  above,  any alterations or additions in labor and/or fluids and/or parts needed, will be billed as an extra.
  7. This does not include extra services due to additional engine hours, our technicians will change the oil if needed based on the recommended service interval of your generator. These extra services will be billed on a time and material basis.
  8. Customer is still responsible for checking engine oil level and topping off as needed on a regular basis, especially once a day during extended outages.
  9. The immediate area around a generator, especially in front of access panels, or doors, must be cleared of snow and any sort of debris or clutter, or other encumbrances that restrict our ability to adequately reach and work on or around the equipment, a minimum of 3 feet wide, in order for our staff to safely and legally work on the equipment. This requirement is not only for "our" safety, but for the safe operation of the equipment, and ultimately your safety.
  10. We respectfully advise you, the customer, that we can not & will not be responsible for keeping your outdoor equipment clear & accessible to our service technicians. This responsibility is up to you.
  11. When any member of our staff comes upon a customer site that they cannot access due to the inability to adequately reach and work on or around the equipment, they will be instructed to treat it as a visit completed-unable to access equipment. Should you wish to re-schedule the visit after this situation has occurred, this additional visit will be considered a billable visit, and you will be charged accordingly.
